60These are some of the best pictures from my recent trip up Sca Fell Pike, they are only from a small compact camera as i did not dare take my DSLR camera for obvious reasons.

Really the only reason i didnt take it, was because it was very new at the time, i just didnt want to ruin it, since this trip it hasnt left my side when ive walked or gone traveling. Im walking the Pennine way this year and the DSLR will be with me the whole way whilst Wild camping.

What a beautiful location! I'm glad to hear that you're taking your DSLR with you since that adventure. You have to be prepared for anything; one never knows what will be around the next corner, and you'd hate to miss an incredible shot.

First of all i would like to congratulate you on a nice collection of images from a compact camera, well done.
Secondly, i am wondering what the "obvious reasons" were for not taking a DSLR, surely a trip such as this warrants the best possible equipment you own in order to maximise the potential of such a splendid location.
Many photographers will pack there equipment in to appropriate bags and carry them to the very corners of this world and into some of the most inhospitable places on earth, so why couldn't you take your DSLR to Sca fell?
Apart from my disbelief at such a great chance missed i would like to congratulate you again on some lovely images.At least you have some images on record and could treat them as a sort of recon collection for when you return with your DSLR.
